Roosevelt’s signing of the Cullen–Harrison Act legalized the sale of low-alcohol beer (up to ~3.2% ABW), ending the dry spell of Prohibition for beer. Virginia Beer Day: August 14
A state-wide celebration kicking off annually on August 14, 2025, featuring a limited-edition pint glass available exclusively at participating Virginia breweries. A portion of each glass sale supports scholarships for the Virginia Brewers Conference—raising a toast to local craft beer, community, and growth across the Commonwealth.
